1) conning the people under these spells to go along with the storytelling and perform all the e-motions that come with each script, be they fear, doubt, uncertainty, distrust, powerlessness, weakness, apathy, denial, greed, selfishness,life-death, survival, etc, etc, to MAKE IT ALL APPEAR REAL
